p.s. Not trying to rain on anyones parade, but lancer evolutions belong in STU, not STX. No it's ok. This is one of the reasons we have been pushing for all the participants to class and number their cars correctly. Seeing how you do in the results is pretty enjoyable. BTW the rule book is available for download in the general forum. There is also a thread in general where anyone can ask for help with classing.

Car marking is very important to our region GCR. We use AXWARE and without classing numbers it's a show stopper. Cars must have at least tape or window paint at tech or you are not allowed in grid. just my un-requested .02 cents worth.

Bronxbomber... i'd like to either get some autocross software or sit my computer at the timing table and back up the scores in excel as they are being wrote down. that way we could post finishing positions at the end of the day after course clean up instead of the next day online

Yea not sure what Region Brian belongs too. Definate asset to which ever place he attends an event. We are hoping to steal him all for ourselves.
AXWARE is as easy as hitting print after the last run. (as long as the input monkey is sharp) Your timing box is exactly like ours.
I like going to different regions to see how things are done. Everyone always has good ideas, Lord knows we have copied nearly everything good from everywhere. cost 160 bucks in fuel and a hotel stay to attend Wiregrass event. Definately worth the trip for the big site and high speeds. I tried pulling for 7th gear going down the slalom. (it only goes to 6)

We are kicking around different ideas to stream line events but not at the cost of the laid back atmosphere. I am trying to grind out a good way to tech entries as they show up to the field. It will go hand in hand with the computer being up and running on site. Club regulars will need to step up and help out where needed. right now we need a 12 event a year regular to be the worker sterward to make sure everyone is gainfully employed and no one runs off after running 7 times but only working the first heat. That was a big problem sunday 8 cars worth or stock class workers split when they were done. we are working to fix these issues. suggestions are welcome.

Ohh and duhh the idea for tech is i will tech the cars as they are sining up for the days events. This should give ample time to correct defficiencies and make the runs start 15 mins faster.

You can do tech, but then who will be helping setup the course? Running Tech is a good place for someone who can't fetch cones to step up and run the show.
