I was classed in the STS class but just so I know next time what class I will be in to make it easier.
It seemed last time people kind of guessed.
I have a 2009 VW GTI
mods are cold air intake lowered on springs 2 inches resonator replace with straight pipe

ST... not STS... STS is for 2 seaters
EDIT: correction... STX... Only specifically listed turbo cars area allowed in ST, and although the 1.8T VW's are listed, the 2.0T VW's are not.

Ok.. Cool so I would be STX? I'm new to this, tried finding how to classify on the scca site but didn't find anything useful. If you have a link I can figure it out.

YEa go to the SCCA.com, then go to solo, cars and classes, 2011 solo rules, thenlook at the table of contents and scroll down to the appendices where it list what cars are in what classes (and usually has criteria for classing cars not listed) and that will tell you what classes you are eligible for. THen look at the rules for that class (which will be back up higher int he document) to determine what class your modifications put you in. Now remember this very important thing, if the rules do not say you CAN do something, then you absolutely CANNOT do it. If there is any grey area move up to the next class that you can clearly perform that mod in, or ask here. THe only exception to that is in SM,SSM and SMF, in those classes when it comes to engine ONLY you can do anything you want to the engine/drivetrain, except that the engine block must be from the same manufacturer as your car's original engine (that includes parent companies such as putting a chevy engine in a pontiac).

So I plan on coming tomarrow. I have only autoXed the Z once before when I lived in Louisiana. They classed my car there as BSP but I figured I would get a second opinion. Also, is there a way to know what my number might be so that I may get stickers.
