I like the M3, but what was up with the ones that came to this event??? They recorded 2 runs each, they DNFed, they got beat by a Subaru wagon... It looks like they gave up pretty easily. It sounds so negtive when put in that context, oh well I love my wagon!

That wagon beat a lot of other people too! i was just glad to see such nice cars out there. speed comes with lots of practice and then car setup. neither car had optimum tires and it was thier first time. Not everyone can drive a car as forgiving on tire selection as an evo or sti or have 2 sets of wheels for street and autox use. i was glad to see them out there, they were some nice guys, i think they had driven a bit to get there too.

Not only do you have a nifty car, you get to tell M3 owners, "Dude, you got beat by a wagon." ;D

Actually, the results show several cars that only made 2 or 3 runs. I haven't known Dan Bearfoot to end his day early if he could help it. Clearly, I'm missing part of the story, here. Did something happen to the timing equipment in the 2nd heat?

I don't know, maybe they were confused and frustrated? Maybe they had to go some where? I think we should consider doing a "novice walk through." It might help with the DNF's.

Dan Barefoot had some mechanical gremlins, also keep in mind it started raining during the second heat. Three of my last four runs were in the rain. I know several cars cut out when the rain started.

I also had mechanical issues. I believe most are resolved and hopefully can make all runs in February

Yes, I think a novice walk-through might be more helpful than the "parade lap". When we're doing that, I can't look ahead very far because of the car in front of me. If someone gets lost on the parade lap, they can take several other cars with them (like in November).
