Hello, I bought my 97 Cobra about 3 years ago and it was pretty much built the way I bought it. I've added a couple things and changed some others.
I was more into drag racing and never really got into taking corners untill recently I've been wanting to try it out besides just taking fast corners in town. I went to the event today and had a blast, It was alot more fun then I thought and i'm hooked.
Heres a list of mods done to my car

Thanx for letting me drive the car! Absolutly amazing, and suprisingly predictable handling(going from a Fit anyway, what a big friggin difference). Great job for first time out, you'll only get better.

No prob man just sitting in the car helped me realize that I wasn't pushing it enough. I knew my car had more in it I just have to push it harder. I'm glad you drove it so I could see mistakes I was making. Next month Fit vs Cobra round 2 lol

That's just such an obscure battle don't you think? Oh well Fit 1 Cobra 0. I've got a feeling that stat is going to get pretty lopsided after a few races. Experience is good ,but power is better. Good luck.

All I need to do is win one month and i'll get my pride back....I got beat by a honda but i'm in the learning process still, you'll have to drive my car again next month because by riding with you in my car I think it helped alot.

My best advice is to ride with EVERYONE (....who will let you). No matter what they have you can always learn something from everyone. and don't let your pride be hurt if you are beaten by a 100hp fwd .... it happens!

I try to tell this to everyone new to autocross; You know golf right? Well do you think you can beat Tiger Woods? You have to expect the same at the autocross course. For some reason everyone thinks they are the greatest driver in the world. Then they get stomped out between the cones and never come back. So at first forget about your times. Just try to learn what the sport is about and have fun. Get to know the people in the club and have fun. Then next work on learning how to walk the course and have fun. Ask questions, ride with people, ask more questions, and have fun. Try to get a little faster, and have fun! Anyway, the secret to getting faster is seat time. And, have fun ;D Jeff

Welcome to the club. It is good to see more Mustangs coming out. Your Cobra isn't white by chance? Borbet T wheels are rare to find and I remember a white cobra with that exact combo being autocrossed in Tallahassee almost 10 years ago.
Dothan is a great place to learn your car and what it is capable of doing. It is one of the few autocross sites that you can use the horsepower. I wasn't able to make this last event, but I hope to see you out there next month.

I don't get discourage easily I actually did better then I thought I would do. My best was a 54.314 and I think the best of the day was like 50.4 so I was happy with that time. I've been racing for along time I've just never really got into autocross so this is something new but with all racing takes skill just different skills for different types.
Yes my cobra is white the previous owner is named chris and he used to autocross in tally and he had the car since 98 so more then likely it was him. He was going to go last sunday with me and race his 05 gt but he has issues with his steering rack so he couldn't make it but he may be out next month.
