yep, thanks a bunch.
Are we going to get a breakdown of everything again? By class and then by PAX and all that jazz.

That would be very nice if you can get it again.

The only problem with PAX at the local level is none of us have nationally prepped cars that are maxed out to the rulebook. It makes the system hard to gauge, though it is cool and fun.

True but it still gives a good comparison of car/driver combo A vs B... it basically makes it as if they were in the same class but with the level of prep of their current vehicles...makes competition more fair/interesting.
It is not meant to take car out of the equation as much as take class out of the equation so the best combo of car prep and driving wins as opposed to just the fastest car.

I understand how it works. I'm just saying for it to be accurate you have to consider how prepared someone is for the class. For example, Jeff is in CSP but his Fiero is basically stock and he is on street tires. So, using the CSP PAX number would not give a good comparison. This is also why I'm trying to move into STR. It is a good system, but usually no one is fully prepared for their class at the local level. So, it's just used for fun.

It does help with figuring where you might be getting better or worse. not having the same course every event prohibits you from having a stick to measure yourself against. however the regulars like Brian and Jeff set fast times and basically get about the same overall positions every month. the PAX gives the novices a measuring stick to use for themselves.

I agree with dan... and basically I know that most are not fully prepped for the class, but I still feel its a better comparison than raw time since comparing a way under-prepped slow class car to a mildy prepped fast class car is not as good as what you essentially have in pax which is under-prepped v mildly prepped of the same class.... this allows people to see how behind they are in prep and driving as opposed to just raw time which has many more factors in it.

if you all want PAX so bad it isn't hard to do yourself and post it.... it helps out the club and satisfies your curiosity.
that's what i did with the raw times, but i don't have excel on my home computer and i don't want/need to do it at work.
