If you all leave it up to me, I will spend hours drawing up some really intricate plans, meticulously source the materials, tweek the plans, over analyze them, throw them out, redraw new plans, curse them, throw them out, grab the welder and then.......WING it!!

Yeah, I know......It's a Capri. I can't wait to whip her around the course and take out some cones.

Where does the keg go? I dig it. Beefing up the walls to handle large hinged panels will reguire heavier gauge material. We are gonna have to keep that in mind.
even 1 in square tubing at that size will be rather heavy. I could use an excuse to buy an aluminum spool gun. Is aluminum stock within the budget? I figure aluminum frames, skinned with sheetmetal (riveted)
Also, the registration desk will be kinda high off the ground considering a minimum seat height (inside) of 17~19inches, minimun desk height of 30 inches and the trailer deck height of 22 inches. The average man of 5'9 will have the registration desk at about shoulder high. even give or take 5 inches, it will still be between his sternum and jaw.
I have two suggestions. Easiest is a small bench for them to step on, but safety becomes an issue. We could also have a flip down "desk" a few inches below the actual desk for them to write on.
Dimensions of the trailer are as follows: 82.5 inches wide x 133inches long. the hitch is only 42 inches out from the begining of the box. useable hitch space is only about 12 inches. Storage there will be minimal.
Let's get brainstorming... Dan and I can discuss on our own but the point of the forum is to get everyones ideas out there for consideration.

i'd just put a table on the outside and have them hand the paperwork back up...
are you planning on having any rollout aweings for later? might help with the sun and heat. i am imagining the trailer might be stifling in the summer without some shade and fans.

Registration and timing need to be on the same side of the trailer. The same PC will be used for both roles.
Having both sides open be great for ventilation.
We also will need some sort of seal-able opening to pass the cables through (it only needs to be sealed when we are done). Or, we make all the connections in the trailer permanent and use an external connection for 4 x RJ45 connections & 1 x AC connection. Of course we only need this if we don't want to run the cables through the open window.
I like the idea of having the paperwork done before they reach the trailer. This will allow for membership and drivers license checking to occur.

For the cables, we could have a trap door on the floor or side. Awnings are probably not in the budget. I hope the swing up doors will provide enough shade for comfort. My guess is we will be making changes on the fly, cause thats how we roll

My concern is weight. heavy doors = reinforcement which = more metal = more money.
Hinged doors will have all the weight up top. I hope we can get our hands on some aluminium. I think we could give it a shot and just reuse the metal if it's too heavy.
It would be cool though to roll the trailer out and just swing up the side with some poles to hold it up.
