Good news on the trailer. i finally figured out the best way to weld using flux core. you remove the flux core wire, buy a big bottle of argon/co2 mix, throw the flux core wire away and weld like a pro because gas is so much better to weld with. if only i had known this wisdom before trying flux core. anyway still looking to get the trailer out to the next event in april.

so you're cooking with gas now!!! yeah, it makes a huge difference on how clean and good the weld is.

Update on the project. Spent the weekend getting the basics done, getting rid of unneeded metal work on the trailer, got it pretty square, fixed the spots with poor welds, and got the basic frame of the trailer up.right now the interior height will be nearly 7 feet. width interior will be 7 feet and length a little more than 10 feet long. Plenty of room by my judgement. We are gonna maintain the double axle setup for the plain reason of its easier at this point and will make the traler more versital. the floor will be made with plywood and as of this report the skin will be aluminum rivited to steel frame. I will try to get some pics up later this week. Special thanks to Raul for all the time he has put in so far (probably more than me), Jeff for his colaberation and to Melody for giving me the tools the time and the understanding to try to get this done.

Just want to remind that this was not a from scratch project to date we have 80.00 bucks into the trailer with the new metal supports and paint. the welding supplies and time are free. I will have the floor on by this weekend so i will post more pics. also have a good set of four falken rt 615k for the new trailer tires. now does that rock or what. they are wore pretty far but they are only 6 months old so should last for 5 or more years.
