My friend and I are interested in coming to the next solo II event because we are thinking of joining. Is this okay for us to come and watch a couple times?

I've raced Solo II in the past at Tennessee Valley Region and really enjoyed it. I want to get back into it. I don't have a car to race right now but I would be more than happy to work events. I can't wait. I think I'll try to come to the meeting next month. I actually have a video of some of my runs at TVRSCCA. I had a 2.3L Mustang then. Here is the link. www.youtube.com/watch?v=nSWbaJFot-M

I don't think we have meetings any more. I think we should start them back though.

Actually I never joined or got to know too many of the people there. Not that I didn't want too though. I would have loved it. I was working on my bachelors degree and Huntsville was 1.5 hours from where I lived. I traded the Mustang for my 03 Spec V...and never looked back. There is something wrong with a car with a factory 0-60 time of about 16 seconds... No goodies left over...except for some bracket that I took off...still no idea where it goes.

Welcome to the area. Instead of watching, drive! The club here is even more laid back than the TVR region. And John Hunt park's asphalt, concrete, gravel surface doesn't compare to the sticky pool table that is Hunt Field I raced a few times with TVR/TAC at JHP, Milton Frank, and some tiny baseball stadium. So who knows perhaps we've met already. I use to autocross an Orange SVT Focus and co-drove a silver '98 M3. If you feel like saying hello, I'll be the guy, slowly driving, the not really red anymore, Pontiac Fiero. Anyway hope to see you at an event. Jeff

I might just have to start racing. I would love to. My main concern was the asphalt. When I used to race at JHP it was like a cheese grater. I watched some vids that were posted and your club's suface looks 100% better. It will be June before I am able to run though. I am going to come next month to meet everyone and see how ya'll do things. I have a baby due in May so I am going to have a crazy couple of months. Did you drive your Fiero in Huntsville? I saw one run a couple of times there but I don't remember an SVT Focus when I as there....But I only ran about 4 or 5 times the whole time I lived there. I am really looking forward to getting involved.

Definitely make it out if you can. The more the merrier. As far as running, do as Nike says and "Just Do It". You will love the site and you won't regret it.

Did you drive your Fiero in Huntsville? I saw one run a couple of times there. That was probably Brad Clarke's, unless Primaris bought it from him. I know it was up for sell a couple years ago, but don't know if he ever sold it or not. I do know that he's in a Mustang now.

I always wanted to know how well the Fiero's did. I guess if they are set up right they should do pretty good. I mean light car that is Mid engine...sounds like a good start. I would have liked to have raced a mustang with more power and a better suspension. My 93 2.3L understeered really bad and did not have the power to overcome the snap oversteer it was prone to do. I can't wait to see what my Spec V does.
