Matt's Nissan 240SX (pics = 56k death)

OK, here we go. I have to give 90% of the credit to my friend for helping me tackle this car. I don't know if anybody remembers him from the 2010 February 14th meet but he piloted the black, turbocharged Nissan 240SX. He's pretty much THE go to guy around here when it comes to these cars and he got me interested in the Nissan S-chassis a little over a year ago.

On to the story...

I decide to sell my beloved 2004 Acura TL...



...for this thing that's sitting on blocks. My girlfriend thought I had lost my mind.

At the time, I decided to run the stock 2.4L KA24DE.





We installed some coil-overs and wheels as well.





We got the car back to running order and I drove it home. This is the first day I had it back.



Looking back, I wish I hadn't done this, but I removed just about all of the interior.





I decided one ugly color was better than 50 different ones, so I decided to bomb the car with black primer.





I then installed a 180SX VLSD.





A few months of not doing anything at all to the car, I ordered a set of Kouki taillights from Japan.





I also ordered a Silvia front end.







The JDM bug had really hit me so I decided I needed some Japanese wheels. I picked up these Work VS-Editions.







I then purchased a set of 300ZX 4 piston calipers with 30mm rotors.





Now it's time for some paint.





Finished product. I still need to wet sand and buff a good portion of the car unfortunately.

Impressive progress on the car. It is amazing what you have done to restore it. I never would have thought this is how your car started when I saw it in February. Keep up the good work, and I look forward to seeing its further progress!

Sweet ride. I can't wait to see it in action. With those coil-overs and LSD it should go round corners very quickly!

BTW...I like the 240 much better than the Acura!
