For all my 240 Brothers that need a little help classing their cars maybe this will help. Its the same for S13 and S14 models unless stated other wise.
Stock Class Mods: We fall in the G Class = GS
- Gauges and Warning Indicators (Tach, Boost, Shift Light, Turbo Timers, etc.)
- Lighting Improvements (HID's, LED's, etc.)
- Broadway/Clip-on Mirrors (No Removal of OEM Mirror)
- Data Logging Equipment (Camera's, Sensors, etc.)
- Hood Pins (Aerocatch, Sparco, etc.)
- Any Fuel Cap
- Stock Steering Wheels (Must Retain Air Bag i.e. Stock S15, GT-R Wheel)
- Spare, Jack & Tools may be Removed (Also anything that cannot be held in place i.e. Cover board & Carpet)
- Roll Bars & Roll Cages: Bolt-In Only (Recommended but not Required)
- Harness & Harness Bars (Stock Restraints may not be Removed)
- Any DOT Approved Tire (Tread rating: 140 Minimum, No Slicks )
- Max Tire Width Allowed by OEM Rim Size (225/50 on a 16x6.5)
- Any wheel = Stock Size with +/-.25" of OEM Offset (16x6.5+40 = Stock S14 SE, .25" = 6.35mm)
- Ext. Studs & Lugs Allowed
- Spacers Allowed (Must be +/- .25"/6.35mm of OEM Offset)
- Any OEM Type Strut Allowed (AGX's, D-Specs, HTS's, Yellow's, etc.)
- Any OEM Type Spring Allowed
- Pillow Top Mounts Allowed (Tein Rear Top Hats)
- Bump Stops can be Trimmed but not Extended
- Any Brake Pad Lining
- Blank Rotors Only
- SS Braided Clutch & Brake Lines (1992 and Older Only)
- Speed Bleeders Allowed
- Any Front Sway Bar (Poly Bushings Allowed, Spherical Ends Allowed)
- OEM Rear Sway Bar Only (OEM Rubber Type Bushings, OEM Type End Links)
- Factory Camber/Adjustment Bolts Only (Front Camber Bolts Allowed)
- Rubber Type Suspension Bushings Only (Poly, Aluminum, Derlin not Allowed - Nismo = Hard Rubber)
- Any Spark Plug allowed (E3's, Puls Plugs, etc.)
- Any Plug Wires Allowed
- Any External Coil Allowed (S13's Only)
- Stock ECU Only
- Panel Filters Only (May be Removed)
- Pistons can be .020" (.5mm) Over Stock MAX (OEM Type: Cast)
- No Engine Balancing

- Any Cat-Back (100dBA MAX - Sound Measurment)
- Stock Type CAT's Only (S14 Secondary CAT is HOLLOW!)

- Multiple CAT's may be Replaced by a Single Unit (Must be within 6" of Stock Primary CAT Location)
- Any LSD Allowed (1.5way, 2way, Clutch, HLSD, etc.)
Street Prepared Mods: We fall in the D Class = DSP
- All Stock Category Allowances
- Updating/Backdating Allowed (S14 OBD-2 IM, S13 240/248 Cams, S14 43cc Head, etc.)
- EMS ECU Allowed
- A/C System may be Removed
- Fender maybe Rolled & Pulled
- Emblems & Mud Flaps may be removed
- Strut Braces Allowed (Strut Bars, Tie-Rod Braces, Rear Lower Tie-Brace, etc.)
- Poly Sub-Frame Bushings Allowed (No Metal i.e. Aluminum)
- Longitudinal Sub-Frame Braces Allowed
- Any Seat Allowed
- OEM Seat Belts may be Removed
- Any Steering Wheel Allowed
- Air Bags may be Disabled but not Removed
- Front Splitters & Spoilers Allowed
