The only reason I'm going with the RS3 is I will be driving my Jetta for the most part.

I vote for one of the 245F/275R setups. All other things being equal, larger tires should last longer and give you more adhesion. Also, STX and STU allow a 245 tread width. You don't want to show up with 235s and be outdone by those entire classes, do you? When I get have money to put new wheels and tires on my S13, I'm going for 225s. The only reason I'm stopping there is that's the maximum width allowed in ST. Otherwise, I know this car has room for 245 or wider in the front. Unless I have boost one day, I'll be using the same sizes, front and rear.

More accurately, STX allows 265 for 2wd cars, and STU allows 285 for 2wd, the 245 limit is STU for AWD, STX only allows 225 for AWD

My flying schedule has been ridiculous. I am going to try to make it out for the february event, by then, my schedule should be slowing down.

But although you've defeated my attempt to be a smartypants, I still recommend the larger tires.
